Learn to accept your Mistakes..!

After having made a mistake most of us deny it, get defensive, blame others and beat them.We start giving excuses. When we make an error, most of us fall into one of these- those who have a fixed mind set and assure themselves ..Damn!!! I will be never good at it...and shut the mistake completely, and there are those who view this error as a wake-up-call, identifying their mistakes and improving on the same.

In our lifetime, there's only one time to correct your mistakes and that's when you admit you are wrong. Embracing the mistake is one of the surest ways to correct your mistake. Do accept your mistakes rather than arguing and showing as if you are perfect.Only our creator is perfect and no one beside him. Take a deep breath and acknowledge your mistake. We can't always aim at being correct. Mistakes help you to learn the best. Think of trial and error learning. With no trial, there's no error and no learning. Hence mistakes imply learning a lesson.
Thomas Edison tried two thousand different elements in search for the right filament for the bulb before getting the right one. His assistant said, "All our work in vain. We learned nothing". Edison confidently replied that we have come a long way and learned a lot. We know those 2000 elements that cannot be used as a filament for the bulb.

How to accept mistakes and learn from them??
  • Never lie:- A lie can save you temporarily but truth revealed later or sooner will lead you into a serious trouble.
  • Do not hide your feelings or problems from your parents:-They have been from what you are going through, so they will help you solve your problems.
  • Accept your mistakes and promise yourself to do better next time.
  • Don't cry over things like being busted by your girl/boy friend or failing in exams:-Accept it and start a new life.
  • Avoid excuses or false promises:-These are very annoying.
  • Make a list of your mistakes and  try to change for the better.
  • Ask your true friends to advice you and give you feedback.
  • Don't think you are foolish when you make a mistakes:-Keep a positive attitude.

Mistakes are valuable teachers.Do not dwell on past mistakes, learn from them instead.

A Computer that can read letters directly from your Brain..!!

The amazing drastic changes in the 20th century have took all of us into a real shock!!!The things that can't be dreamt of even are happening in real...
Functional MRI Scanners have been used in research to determine the active areas of brain.Test subject looked inside the brain and performed the task of receiving letters from the brain. The question was- Is a particular brain region on or off??The research group used data from the scanner to find out what a test subject is looking at.The Researchers 'taught'  a model how small volumes of 2*2*2 brain scans- known as voxels- respond to individual pixels.

The model was given prior knowledge about how each letter looked like. This improved the recognizing ability of the letters enormously.
The approach is similar to what we believe happens when we perceive our surroundings. The brain combines the prior knowledge with the sensory signals. For example: we can recognize lines or curves of a letter after we have learned to read. And this is what exactly the research group is looking for- models that show what all is going on in the brain. The hope is to improve the model to such an extent that they can be applied to working memory or experiences such as dreams.
In the further research they will be working on more powerful scanners.
Also a recent experiment in Japan shows that the brain scans can predict what you're dreaming about. The researchers have developed a brain decoding technique that can predict dreams up to 60% accuracy.
Let's wait and watch!!!!

Typhoid Mary

This is the story of Typhoid Mary, a lady who suffered despite of committing no mistake. Let's see why....

Mary Mallon , born Sept 23, 1869 in Cookstown, Ireland , seemed to be a healthy lady. She was a cook by profession. She was accused to be the reason behind typhoid outbreaks in the US. It is said that she had infected 51 people , 3 of whom died in her career as a cook. She had no idea of why all this was happening , and so she decided to fight back. She died after spending nearly three decades in isolation.

In 1906 summer break, Charles Henry Warren wanted to go for a vacation with his family. They rented a home in Oyester Bay, Long Island. They hired Mary Mallon as cook. After some days, Warren's daughter became ill with typhoid fever. Following this, Warren's wife , maid and gardener also became ill with the same disease. Warrens were afraid that they would not be able to  move any further without finding out the cause. The Thompsons ( from whom Warens rented their house ) hired George Soper, a civil engineer who was expert in this field.

Soper investigated the case and had a doubt on Mary. He called for Mary's work history. And yes, he was right. There were cases of typhoid earlier in homes where Mary worked as a cook. A girl even died of this. Soper was sure that this could not be a coincidence. But now what he needed was 'Proof'. So , he went to the place where Mary was currently working. He accused her of being a cause of typhoid outbreaks and asked for blood samples. Mary, enraged by this , threatened Soper with a fork knife and told him that he was unwelcomed.

Soper gave the charge of the investigation to Herman Biggs. Biggs sent Baker to talk to Mallon. Mallon was taken to a hospital in New York where the samples were taken. And the result was - Typhoid bacilli was found in her stool. Mary was soon held without trial, though she had not broken any laws. She was actually a healthy carrier of the 'Typhoid disease -i.e. a person who seems to be healthy but can cause many diseases. Mary was soon released on the condition that she would change her occupation. Mary was set free.

5 years later......
There was a typhoid outbreak in New York. Around 25 people were ill and one of them died. The accused was Ms. Brown , a cook. Ms. Brown was actually Mary, who was using a different name.Mary was sent to an isolated cottage and spent 23 more years in isolation.

In December 1932, Mary suffered a stroke and was left paralysed. She was shifted to Children's ward, where she stayed for 6 years until her death on 11th Nov, 1938.

Is modern society MATERIALISTIC???

Yes, it is.We absolutely live in a materialistic world.People are becoming way too disgusting day by day. They want things, things and even more things. What gives them happiness and satisfaction is buying jeans,a pair of sunglasses, dresses etc,etc and etc...Materialism is a disease that is spreading everywhere and it's becoming sickening. Our generation are the biggest patients of this disease. This world is completely full of people who want more and more but least care of what these things are doing to them. Our population spends the few hours of rest with eyes glued to television which introduce us to another source of discontentment.

Now a days people can live without their parents, wife but they would die if their laptops or phones are snatched from them. They can basically reach any extent. They can break relationships for the sake of money or land or piece of jewellery. Some are always in search of the next top brand item so that they are the first ones to buy and boast about the same.
Why talking about them??Let's look at ourselves. We are most eager to reply to the person who has messaged us and hardly care to listen to the person sitting next to us.

People worship money instead of God.Even families do not care about each other as our ancestors or elders did. There are so many cases of brothers killing each other.Damn too horrible..!!! People only see your money and not goodness.. :(
Our generation has accepted the fact that having a lot of money, travelling the entire world, having the newest accessories are the source of ultimate happiness. But we forget that money can't buy happiness.
I am sure our parents feel upset when we complain and argue with them for a single dress.Do we actually need it?Does our entire life depend on it?The answer is no!!.Technically, our only requirements are nourishment and water. We don't need 20 pairs of shoes, perfume, hair care, jewellery. It actually won't be the tsunamis and earthquakes that would end the world...but its We who are doing this.
Be happy with what you have and live a free and stressful life.

  • Buying stuff doesn't buy you happiness.
  • Experiences are better than objects.
  • Talking to friends in real is more exciting and honest than on Whatsapp or Facebook.

We know the PRICE of everything and VALUE of nothing..

Ganesha Chaturthi

Ganesha Chaturthi, also known as 'Vinayak Chaturthi' or 'Vinayaka Chavithi' is a great Ganesha festival celebrated by Hindus all over the world. This day marks the birth of Lord Ganesha. It is observed during the Hindu month of Bhadra (mid August - mid September).
Begins: Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi
Ends: Anant Chaturdashi
It lasts for 10 days.

                                                                               Happy Ganesha Chaturthi

A clay model of Lord Ganesha is made 2-3 months prior to the festival. On the day of festival the clay model is placed on raised platforms in homes or decorated temples for people to view and pay homage. The priests clad themselves in red silk dhoti and chant mantras and perform rituals which invokes life into the Ganesha model.
This festival is celebrated with theater performances, cultural activities and community activities or free medical checkups, donating money to the poor. Slogans of Ganpatti Bappa Morya are enchanted while Lord Ganesha idol is being taken for immersion.

                                                                                          Modak

  • It is believed that Lord Ganesha himself descends on Earth on this day to bless his devotees.
  • The biggest Ganesha idol is kept in Vishakhapatnam and measures up to 70 feet tall.
  • Modak (sweet dish) is believed to be favourite of Lord Ganesha and hence is prepared during the festival. It refers to somehing that brings joy.
  • Lord Ganesha is referred to as "Vigana Harta" (remover of obstacles) and "Buddhi Pradaayaka" (giver of wisdom and intellect). There are around 108 names of Lord Ganesha, among which  Ganesha and Ganpati are more common.

Ganesha cursed Chandra, the Moon God

Why you should not see moon on Ganesha Chaturthi?
It is said that whosoever sees the moon on this day would face false allegations (problems) in the coming year.
Long ago Brahma and Shiva were sitting together and a man named Narmada came along. He offered Shiva a beautiful fruit. It was such a wonderful fruit and Narmada had chosen it especially for Shiva.
But Ganesha, Shiva's son loved fruits. He wanted the fruit and offcourse Ganesha's brother Kartikeya wanted it too.Shiva asked Brahma to decide who should have the fruit. He said Kartikeya as he was younger.Ganesha became extremely angry at this and tried to frighten Brahma. But then Chandra, the Moon God laughed at Ganesha for being so silly and greedy that he cannot sacrifice fruit for his brother or father. Now Ganesha turned his anger at Chandra and said, "I'll curse you Brahma, anyone who looks at you will be cursed and something wrong will happen with them, and so they will stop looking at you ever again!!! But this was very sad, imagine no one looking at the beautiful moon. So other Gods Agni and Indra asked him to change his mind and forgive Chandra for laughing at him.Ganesha, being soft-heartened did forgive him and now people can look at the moon except for one night a year.

                                                                               Immersion of Ganesha idols

Environmental Impact
Idols of Ganesha made out of plaster of paris when immersed in lakes, rivers or sea cause a serious impact on the environment. Thousands of such idols are immersed into water which increases the acidity levels and content of heavy metals. Traditionally, the idol was made out of mud which easily decomposed. However, as the commercial sale of idols increased, plaster of paris came into use as it was easy to mould and use.But it's non-biodegradable nature exploits the environment.

The Google Contact Lens

Now this is something very interesting and new by Google - a contact lens which can measure sugar level in your tears. Amazing , isn't it?

This is smart project announced by Google on 16th Jan '14. It is basically being made to help people having diabetes. The lens has 2 parts - a wireless chip and a glucose sensor. There is a tiny hole in the lens which helps the tears to reach the sensor. The sensor then measures the glucose level. There is a proposal that LED lights will be added to the lens so that they can light up and warn the user whenever the sugar level is high. The project is being carried out by Google's secret lab , Google X.

The credit for creation of such an amazing product goes to Brian Otis and Babak Parviz who were a part of the Electrical Engineering faculty at the University Of Washington. Currently, research is going on and a lot of work has to done in this field, and it would take another five years for this product to become fully fledged. Google is looking for partners, who would help in developing this technology and soon aims at providing measurements of the lenses to the doctors.

Endocrinologist Dr. Larry Levin gave his remarks on the product. He is happy to see that Google has entered into the medical field. This technique would be less painful and less time consuming than the traditional finger pricking method. It would prove to be a major revolution in medical science. Hoping to see this techno-product in market soon.

Krishna Janmashtmi

Janmashtmi is an annual celebration of the birth of Hindu deity Krishna, the eighth avatar of, Vishnu. It is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. Hindus celebrate Janmashtmi by keeping a fast and staying up midnight, the time when Krishna is believed to have been born.Krishna's childhood images and idols are placed in swings, homes and temples. The temples and homes are wonderfully decorated and illuminated. Janmashtmi celebrations at Mathura and Vrindavan, the places where Krishna had spent his life are very special. At midnight, the devotees gather around from far away places for devotional songs and dance. They also exchange gifts.

It is celebrated as an event which involves making a human pyramid and breaking an earthen pot filled with buttermilk(dahi) which is tied up at a convenient height. The topmost person breaks the pot and the buttermilk is spilled over the entire group.

Actually, this event is based on the Legend of the child-God Krishna stealing butter.Krishna as a child was extremely fond of butter, yogurt and milk that he would steal it immediately. When the butter and milk were kept in a dark place, Krishna would go there and make the place bright with the valuable jewels on his body.In this way, he used to steal butter and milk from the neighboring households in many ways.
Sri Krishna is considered as one of the most powerful human incarnations of the Lord Vishnu. The sole objective of Sri Krishna's birth was to eradicate all the evil from Earth.
Let us together chant:
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna
Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama
Hare Hare

May the festival of Janmashtmi bring you joy, peace and love. 'Radhe, Radhe'
                                                                         Happy Krishna Janmashtmi..!!!

Independence Day Special

We all change our status on WhatsApp and Facebook about 'Independence Day' , but do we really know its true meaning and significance? Do we know the history behind it? I guess very few would actually know.
Let's know a bit on this 68th Independence Day...

Why 15th August?
Lord Mountbatten, the newly appointed viceroy chose this date. As the situation was slipping from Britisher's hands , they decided to quit as soon as possible. According to some sources , it is also said that Suryanarayan Vyaas from Ujjain who was an astrologer chose this date , as according to him India's Independence would be immortal if the vow would be taken on this date.

The National Flag
The current flag is based on the Swaraj Flag designed by Pingali Venkayya. The current flag has three colours in it :

  • The top strip Saffron : stands for courage and sacrifice
  • The middle portion white : stands for peace, truth and purity
  • The lower strip Green : stands for faith, fertility and chivalry
  • The Ashok Chakra at the centre : stands for righteousness
Very few people are aware about the fact that the only material allowed for making the flag is Khadi (hand-spun cloth). Usage of any other material is violation of law and could lead to three years imprisonment, besides fine.

Celebration
In the evening, President delivers a speech, Prime Minister hoists the national flag at the Red Fort. The Prime Minister gives remarks on the past year's achievements and calls for future development in his speech. 21 gun-shots are fired, and the speech is followed by march past and paegents. Flag-hoisting ceremonies and cultural programmes are held in various institutions. In some cities , like Delhi, kite flying is also done.People can be seen dressed in tri-colours. In cities like New York , 15th August is celebrated as 'India Day'.
This day also marks independence of some other nations :

  • South Korea won its independence from Japan (1945)
  • Bahrain from UK (1971)
  • Republic of Congo from France (1960)

Are we really Independent?
Different people have different definitions of independence. According to some, 'Equal freedoms for men and women- that's independence.' Though we have become free from any foreign invasion, we are still not truly independent. We still have fear and insecurities in our minds. We are taking the gift given by freedom fighters for granted. The need of the hour is to change our mindset, to broaden our approach towards life, not to be narrow-minded, to be more sensitive towards social issues, to treat men and women equally , to teach children good moral values, to be good , to do something worthy for the people of the nation. We, the youth are capable of brightening the future of our nation. Let's do our bit...

Proud to be an Indian.. Jai hind !!

Microsoft is developing touchscreen technology that will be able to provide different sensations based on what you're tapping.!!

According to the senior researcher and research manager of Human Computer Interaction Group at Microsoft Research Asia, says that the way we interact with smartphones and tablets today is flawed. She believes we shouldn't be limited to tapping and sliding our fingers across a glass screen - so she's working to change that.
Microsoft is developing touchscreen technology for mobile devices that will be able to provide different sensations based on what we are tapping. So,for example, say if we are typing on a touchscreen keyboard,we would feel a sensation similar to pressing a key. Isn't it shocking!!! It would be like if we are tapping an on-screen button, we would feel something similar to a mouse click. We would be able to sense the weight of a folder when dragging and dropping a group of files.

Researchers at Microsoft are currently investigating a range of different tactile feedback sensations that involve both hardware and software. Microsoft is using a few different methods to achieve these effects. First approach is putting a layer of material under the glass that would bend under electronic voltage. This would enable the glass to bend slightly with each touch. Another approach uses a system called electrovibration , which alternates the voltage applied to the glass surface.
Microsoft isn't the only company working on this type of technology.Startup Tactus recently announced its iPad that can generate physical key sensation. This would change the friction between our finger tip and the glass, creating sticky and smooth sensations.
It doesn't seem we are gonna see this idea implemented anytime soon but companies are definitely are putting lot of efforts in making smartphones as our primary computers,

Rakhi Special

So, RakshaBandhan is all set to come.. on August 10

The Sanskrit meaning of RakshaBandhan is 'the knot of protection'. It is a day when sister ties a Rakhi on her brother's wrist and prays for his well-being. The brother in turn , promises to take care and protect his sister in any situation. This strengthens the bond between brothers and sisters. You don't need to have blood relations for celebrating this fest. You can celebrate it with your friends, cousins or distant family members.

The fest is celebrated in the month of Sravana (according to Hindu calender) .The ceremonial thread (better known as Rakhi) marks brother sister love. Women start shopping for Rakhi's , sweets and gifts, 1-2 weeks before the festival. Each year , new varieties of Rakhi's are added to the stock , ranging from cartoon rakhis for kids, to fancy bracelets. Brother's too give gifts and Shagun (in form of money) to their sisters. Sisters may send Rakhi's to their brothers by mailing or by e-shopping.

The ritual involves an Aarti , and the sister applies Tilak on his brother's forehead. All the family members sit together and pray to different Gods they believe in. Sometimes , this festival magically contributes in solving family issues and brings them together. It increases closeness among them.

Relation To History

Alexander The Great
When Alexander invaded India, his wife sent a thread to King Porus , requesting him not to harm his husband. When Porus was about to kill Alexander in the final battle, he saw the Rakhi on his wrist, and avoided killing Alexander himself.

Rani Karnavati

The Monster Snake

Believe it or not .... But years after the extinction of Dinosaurs ,in the jungles of Columbia there lived a species of snakes whose characterstics make it unbelievable. The name of the snake is Titanoboa , meaning Titanic Boa. It had a huge size of 48 feet and the weight was 2500 pounds. Amazed? Aren't you?

Its huge size can be attributed to the warm climated it was present in. The presence of warmer climate meant presence of more and more prey which were bigger than the others that lived in cooler climates. It's diameter was similar to that of a man's waist. It was able to defeat any animal that he hunted. It was able to survive due to heavy rainfall in the area , rich vegetation and prey.

The river from which this snake took its prey had huge turtles, crocodiles which were a dozen feet long and 7 feet long lungfish.

Rags to Riches !! The success story of J.K Rowling.

J.K Rowling, as we all know is one of the greatest and the most inspiring personalities.Let us know a bit about how she achieved success and fame despite so many difficulties and obstacles.

Birth and Family:
Rowling was born to Peter James Rowling,an aircraft engineer and Anne Rowling, a science technician on 31 July in England.

Childhood and Education:
Rowling attended St Michael's Primary school. Her headmaster in this school were an inspiration for the Harry Potter series.Often, she used to write fantasy stories when she was young. Her teenage years were very depressed and unhappy. Her home life was complicated by her mother's illness and a strained relationship with her father who she is still not on speaking terms with. The famous character of Hermione Granger was based on Rowling herself.

Inspiration:
In 1990, while she was on a trip from Manchester to London, the train delayed by four hours. She created fantasy story to entertain her daughter. It was then that the idea for the story of a young boy attending a wizardry came into her mind. She began to write immediately about the idea.In december, Rowling's mother Anne died because of severe ill health and suffering from multiple sclerosis. She was writing Harry Potter at that time and had yet not told her mother about it.Her mother's death affected her heavily and so she wrote much more about Harry's loss in the first book, because she very well knew how it felt like losing a mother.

Marriage, divorce and Parenthood:
Rowling moved to Porto to teach English as a foreign language. She taught at night and wrote Harry Potter during day time. After about 18 months she met Portugese television Journalist in a bar whom she married in 16 October 1992.Their child, Jessica Isabel Rowling was born on 27 July 1993. Previously she had suffered a miscarriage. The couple separated on 17 November 1993.Rowling saw herself as a failure as her marriage had failed and she was jobless with a dependent child. But having said this she describes her failure as a motivation which allowed her to focus on writing.During this period she even thought of suicide.

Harry Potter:
In 1995, Rowling finished her manuscript for Harry Potter and the Philospher's stone on an old manual typewriter. The book was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected the manuscript completely.

Conclusion:
Having gone through little details about J.K Rowling, what is most important for us to learn is to
  •  NEVER GIVE UP IN LIFE.Despite so many problems-povety,divorce,miscarriage,losing her mother and her script being rejected 12 times she had faith in herself. There is no luck in life.Every little thing happens for a reason.
  • FAILURE IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS.We all have failures in life but success lies in competing with yourself, overcoming difficulties in life.Take risks in life and try new things.
  • BELIEVE IN YOURSELF:God has unique plans for each one of us.We just need to have faith in ourselves and God and wait for the right time.
Good luck... :)

Parents are next to God..!!

God has gifted each one of us the most precious gift-PARENTS.Though many people like teachers, friends play an important role in influencing our lives but parents are the ones who  give life to us..They are the best teachers and best friends.Parents are the only one who support us in all phases of life and "expect" nothing in return. They love us the way we are.We just can't imagine life without them.
Since the beginning of life they have always sacrificed almost everything so that we could be brought up well,so that we do not face any hardships,so that we can enjoy our lives to the fullest. They put their life on hold so that they can fulfill our needs and desires. But what the hell do we give them in return...NOTHING at all.....Arre dene ki toh door ki baat hai, we just can't afford to spend time with them...Our work, meetings, jobs etc. become more important.

We very easily disrespect and abuse our parents but we will soon realise how it feels when our kids will do the same with us.We are so busy in growing, that we forget our parents are growing old too.Why don't we understand that whatever they say and do is for our benefit.
Do you know that a simple phone call can make them extremely happy???
Well, we will never ever understand the love of our parents, till we become parents ourselves and at that point of time we will regret upon our mistakes. So love and appreciate your parents before it's too late. You have no idea what all they have gone through for you.
I am lucky to have the best parents in life.I cannot describe in words the sacrifices they have made for me.I am proud of being a girl...But the only reason I wish I was a boy is that, I could spend my entire lifetime with my parents. No one can ever take your place. Thanks for all that you have given me and sorry for the times I have hurt you.
I love you mom dad.

The 'Perfect Time' Will Never Come....

The heading above is not written in a negative sense. It's just that we want you to stop waiting for the so called "perfect time" , be it to express your feelings , to start something new or to move on in life. There are many people who run away from their problems and delay in solving them. They make lame excuses such as : "This is not the right time... " . But these people, actually, are themselves not aware of that time.

Start early.... Start now.....

We often hear people saying :

  •  "I'll do my work once the weekend arrives. "(though they are capable of doing the task , the same day itself)
  • "I'll propose her on Valentine's Day.. I'll wait till then.. " (he might lose his chance till then)
May I ask , why to wait when you have the potential to do a task at a earlier stage?
Why to drag things and delay??

Are you saying 'you're afraid' ? Well, this may be one of the most common answer. Let me tell you, you will lead to 'NoWhere' in life , with this attitude of yours . There may be situations in your life that would have made you the way you are.. But change is required in every aspect of life.
So why not change for your own benefit?
Why don't you just try once to open up whenever you feel like , share your feelings , come out of hesitation?

Trust me you'll feel much ,much better and confident.
If you keep on waiting for the 'perfect day' in your life, you can never move forward. So, the next time you decide something , go for it without wasting a second even !! You never know what happens later.

"Life can leave your side any time. So do what you wish to.. Enjoy to the fullest .. !! Cuz you do not know what happens the very next moment . "

Think Before You Judge (Short Story)

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block.  He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.
On seeing him, the father yelled, “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?”
The doctor smiled and said, “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”.

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies while waiting for doctor than what will you do??” said the father angrily.  The doctor smiled again and replied, “We will do our best by God’s grace and you should also pray for your son’s healthy life”.
“Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father.
The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy, “Thank goodness! your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running by saying, “If you have any questions, ask the nurse”.
“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.  The nurse answered, tears coming down her face, “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery.  And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

Why Isaac Newton never married?

Isaac Newton was born on 25th December , 1642, just three months after the death of his father.Newton was a natural philosopher. Newton's father was a prosperous farmer. He was born prematurely.  His mother Hannah reportedly said that he could have fit inside a quart mug (≈ 1.1 litres). When Newton was three, his mother remarried and went to live with her new husband, Rev. Smith, leaving her son in the care of his maternal grandmother. She and Rev. Smith had three children.  The young Isaac disliked his stepfather and maintained some enmity towards his mother for marrying him.

When Rev. Smith died in 1653, Isaac was ten years old and he returned to his mother's household. As his father had been a farmer, Hannah decided that Isaac should also be a farmer, and thus took him away from his school studies. He hated farming.  He spent a year away from school on the farm, at quite a critical time in his education. Later in his life, at the age of nineteen, Isaac grew very resentful of how his mother had left him when he was young.

Newton never married. Although it is impossible to verify, it is commonly believed that he died a virgin.French writer and philosopher Voltaire, who was in London at the time of Newton's funeral, claimed to have verified the fact, writing that "I have had that confirmed by the doctor and the surgeon who were with him when he died" (allegedly Newton stated on his deathbed that he was a virgin). In 1733, Voltaire publicly stated that Newton "had neither passion nor weakness; he never went near any woman".

Newton's childhood experiences such as death of his father before his birth, his mothers re-marriage to a man he did not like, etc. might had been a reason. Childhood experiences can spoil a person’s outlook on further adult relationships. But I like to believe that Isaac Newton was married to Science and to his career as a Scientist. He spent hours in his Lab and for research.

However Isaac Newton became one of the most influential scientists of all time and is regarded as a key figure in the scientific revolution.

It's not what you look at, that matters. It's what you see.

How much time do you spend judging others, making fun of others and criticizing them? When someone cuts us off in the traffic, we mumble and abuse. When we see someone wearing something from a few decades back.We say.."Oh god..she needs a makeover...!"You would definitely agree with all of these. We judge other's clothing, action and words...Judging is something we do without thinking.
But have you just realized there are times when you have cut someone off in traffic, worn outfits that weren't fabulous.
So why do we do it???

  • We are insecure - This is perhaps the main reason why we judge. When we are insecure or unhappy we try to put others down.We want to feel good by making others feel bad.
  • We are lonely - There is a bonding element that goes along with judging others. When we talk about others, most people gladly join us.
  • We are seeking change - When we want our own lives to be different,we are quick enough to judge others lives. For example: if someone wants to be in a committed relationship and his friend gets engaged, he might whisper, "Oh,that girl is just not right for him.I don't know why they are getting married".If we are jealous of other's lives we are likely to make quick judgements.

What happens??

  • Hurts other people- It may hurt people in unexpected ways.
  • Makes you feel worse about yourself- When you judge others, you feel bad and guilty later on.You feel bad of having placed such harsh judgements on others.
  • Put negativity in the world- These judgements bring nothing good to the world. They bring others down and make a unhappy place to live in.
  • Encourages you to judge yourself- For example- when we judge what other people wear, we would be extremely concerned about our own clothing.

Ways to stop judging:-

  • Monitor your thoughts-Think about what you are thinking.
  • Look for the positive-There always something positive you can find in someone or something. And of course if you can't find something nice to say, then don't say anything at all.
  • Focus on your own life-Why waste time judging others.Ignore what others are doing, wearing.Think about your own life.
  • Remember how it feels- Remember how it feels to be judged. AND remember how it felt the last time you judged someone.
Let's stop placing so many judgements on others...It's up to us to change..!

Happy Birthday Chilli...!!

Friendship is about bringing out the positive when everthing seems negative, being accepted for who you are, being able to pick up right where you left off...sharing,talking and laughing. Friendship is about us, and for that I'm grateful.
May your special day be surrounded with happiness, filled with laughter , wrapped with pressure, brightened
with fun, blessed with love, remembered with joy and enriched with happiness...Love you!!

           Many
                      many
                                  happy returns of the day......
May god fulfill all your dreams.....Stay blessed!!!
Happy Bday my friend...
